Even as the rough city air attacked my skin, landing in the melting pot of opportunity felt amazing. New York City, rich with history at every turn, gave way to modern opportunity. The Nymboo Girls and I celebrate our first year by honoring their 25th anniversary. Surtex is the show that created the Art Licensing Industry. I sat back and watched as artists bear their souls on paper, textiles, drawings, comics and more. It was inspiring to watch artists interact with agents while potential companies shuffle through the aisles. Around every corner you could see multi-media unfold. I breathed it in and experienced Surtex 2011 with every inch of my soul.
